Project Description : Roller Rehab Bridge Bearing Service, 24th April, 2018.
Bearing rust removal, internal cleaning, painting, greasing and oiling. Report on service and any defects identified.
Ballast covered and surrounded bearings on the abutments.
The coating had failed on the bearings and was cracking off. Where the paint was removed light rust had started to take hold.
Three anchoring bolt nuts were found to be very loose. They were tightened by ARTC staff on site.
Ballast removed, the bearing cleaned and painted and anchoring bolt nuts tightened.
The top slide plate bearing component and the lower pot bearing both greased.
